The U.S. Army Research Laboratory is interested in applying state-of-the-art computational tools to the study of projectile aerodynamics at angle of attack and moderate Mach number. The WEND flow solver has been used to study the aerodynamics of two missile configurations. WEND successfully incorporates grids generated by the GridPro grid generation package. WEND gives good scalability and good overall performance on parallel computer platforms. This report discusses several aspects of interest concerning generating grids to use with WEND and the process of obtaining solutions.
